Oklahoma rallies against Iowa State, wins Big 12 title
Mar 11, 2007 - 4:30 AM OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris scored 23 points and grabbed 21 rebounds as No. 11 Oklahoma's second-half eruption helped defeat Iowa State, 67-60, to win the Big 12 Conference tournament title.Leah Rush scored 18 points and Jenna Plumley collected six steals for the Sooners (26-4), who won their fourth conference championship and clinched a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Oklahoma came back from a 26-23 halftime deficit by shooting 56 percent (15-of-27) after the break and finishing with 26-12 advantage in points in the paint.
Alison Lacey had 17 points and Lyndsey Medders added 17 and six assists for the Cyclones (25-8), who shot 33 percent (21-of-63) from the field despite hitting 11-of-31 3-pointers (36 percent).
