Baylor women move on with victory over Chattanooga
Mar 18, 2007 - 10:42 PM RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Jessica Morrow scored 13 points as fifth-seeded Baylor defeated 12th-seeded Chattanooga, 68-55, in the opening round of the Fresno Region of the NCAA Tournament.The Lady Bears (26-7), the 2005 NCAA champion, next face fourth-seeded North Carolina State on Tuesday.
Morrow recieved strong support from Angela Tisdale and Bernice Mosby, who each scored 12 points.
The Lady Bears converted 14 turnovers by Lady Mocs into 16 points and held a 32-18 advantage in points in the paint.
Alex Anderson had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Chattanooga (25-8).
