Braun, Roberson each score 17 as Indiana tops West Virginia
Dec 22, 2007 - 11:28 PM BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Jamie Braun and Kim Roberson each scored 17 points as Indiana defeated No. 13 West Virginia, 79-66, on Saturday.The Hoosiers (7-5) made nine 3-pointers in beating the ranked foe.
Meg Bulger and Chakhia Cole each scored 19 points for the Mountaineers (10-2), who had a seven-game winning streak end.
West Virginia started 2-of-17 from the field and shot just 40.6 percent for the game, finishing 5-of-22 on 3-pointers.
Indiana went 9-of-20 from beyond the arc and outrebounded West Virginia, 37-28. The Hoosiers took control with a 7-0 first-half run, then went into the break on an 11-2 spurt to take a 35-23 advantage prior to the second half.
