Lacey leads Arizona State to close win over USC

Dec 31, 2007 - 7:45 AM TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Lauren Lacey scored 17 points and Sybil Dosty added 14 as 24th-ranked Arizona State held off Southern California, 66-63, in a Pac-10 Conference matchup on Sunday.

No other player reached double figures in scoring for the Sun Devils (8-5, 2-0 Pac-10), who needed an incredible second-half surge to secure the victory. Arizona State outscored USC, 44-30, after halftime.

The Sun Devils, who trailed by 11 points at the break, shot 46 percent (23-of-50) from the field, including just 1-of-10 from the arc.

Nadia Parker collected 22 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans (8-5, 1-1), who shot just 37.5 percent (12-of-32) in the second half.
