Riley powers Oklahoma State past Kansas

Jan 10, 2008 - 5:17 AM LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- Andrea Riley scored 26 points as No. 24 Oklahoma State posted a 59-54 Big 12 Conference victory over Kansas on Wednesday.

Danielle Green scored 12 points and Maria Cordero added nine and seven rebounds for the Cowgirls (13-1, 1-0 Big 12), who have won five straight.

Riley, who entered this contest averaging a team-leading 20.5 points, connected on 11-of-18 from the floor and reached the 20-plus point mark for the ninth time this season.

Leading, 24-23, at the break, Oklahoma State shot 60 percent in the second half to even its record to 6-6 in conference openers.

Sade Morris scored 17 points and Taylor McIntosh added 14 and seven rebounds for Kansas (11-3, 0-1), which still holds a 28-21 advantage overall in the series. The schools have alternated wins and losses over a seven-game stretch.
