Paris, Oklahoma outmuscle Texas
Feb 3, 2008 - 9:23 PM AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris had 20 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks as No. 10 Oklahoma dominated the paint en route to a 74-58 victory over 25th-ranked Texas in a Big 12 contest on Sunday.Courtney's twin sister Ashley Paris and Danielle Robinson each added 14 points for the Sooners (15-4, 5-2 Big 12), who outscored the Longhorns, 52-20, in the paint.
Oklahoma had a nine-point lead at intermission but Texas rallied to tie the game at 48-48 with 13:23 left to play.
Leading by one point, the Sooners put the game away with a 19-0 run that included eight layups, to take a 74-54 advantage with 2:53 remaining.
Earnesia Williams led four players in double figures with 14 points for the Longhorns (15-7, 3-5), who shot just 31 percent (21-of-68) from the floor.
