Raven, Texas avenge tough loss to Baylor
Feb 14, 2008 - 7:12 AM AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Brittainey Raven scored 18 points and Erneisha Bailey added 13 as Texas shocked eighth-ranked Baylor, 61-51, in the Big 12 Conference on Wednesday.Raven went 6-of-11 from the field with two 3-pointers and Ashley Lindsey chipped in 10 points, seven rebounds and four blocks as the Longhorns (16-8, 4-6 Big 12) avenged a tough 61-60 loss at the Lady Bears on January 30.
Limiting Baylor to 19 points in the first half, Texas saw a seven-point lead at intermission disappear before Earnesia Williams' jumper with 8:08 remaining snapped a 37-37 tie.
Raven added both of her 3-pointers over the next two-plus minutes for a 47-41 lead.
Jessica Morrow scored 19 points and Rachel Allison added 11 rebounds and eight points for the Lady Bears (21-3, 9-2), who lost for the second time in three games - both on the road.
