Paris powers unbeaten Oklahoma past Northern Colorado
Dec 17, 2006 - 11:21 PM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead unbeaten Oklahoma to an 82-36 triumph over Northern Colorado.Paris made 9-of-11 shots from the floor to pace four players in double figures.
Reserve Amanda Thompson had 12 points and nine rebounds while Leah Rush and Erin Higgins both scored 11 points for Oklahoma (8-0), which hosts No. 8 Ohio State next Wednesday in a matchup of top-10 teams.
The Sooners limited Northern Colorado to just 18 percent (5-of-28) shooting in the first half and entered the break with a 42-13 lead. Oklahoma enjoyed a 53-30 edge on the glass and committed just eight turnovers.
Heather Barbour scored 12 points for Northern Colorado (2-7), which shot just 13-of-58 (22 percent) overall.
