Starks, McGowen lead Texas A&M over Delaware State

Dec 21, 2006 - 6:54 AM COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Takia Starks and Adrian McGowen were a deadly duo for Texas A&M in an impressive win.

Starks and McGowen scored 13 points apiece as the 19th-ranked Aggies routed Delaware State, 70-43.

Freshmen Katrina Limbaha collected 12 points and five rebounds for Texas A&M, which shot 47 percent (26-of-55) from the field and outrebounded the Hornets, 46-31.

Starks and McGowen were a combined 9-of-15 from the floor, 5-of-6 from the line and 3-of-5 from the arc. The impressive twosome helped the Aggies to a 39-11 lead at halftime.

Ashlee Burbage scored 17 points for Delaware State, which shot just 25.5 percent (14-of-55).
