Harmon has double-double in Stanford rout
Jan 3, 2007 - 9:30 AM FRESNO, California (Ticker) -- Jillian Harmon doubled her pleasure in an easy win.Harmon recorded her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds in No. 12 Stanford's 80-52 rout of Fresno State.
Harmon shot 6-of-10 from the field and pulled down six offensive boards as the Cardinal captured their eighth straight win.
Jayne Appel had 15 points and nine rebounds and Brooke Smith scored 13 for Stanford (10-3), which went 49 percent (34-of-69) from the floor and held a 50-32 advantage in rebounding.
Leading 45-20 at the half, the Cardinal extended the lead to 36 points midway through the second half before emptying the bench.
Jenny Thigpen scored 15 points and Tierra Wilson 10 for the Bulldogs (7-6), who shot 3-of-15 (20 percent) from 3-point range and committed 20 turnovers.
