CS Northridge fires women's hoops coach

Mar 13, 2010 - 2:37 AM LOS ANGELES(AP) -- Cal State Northridge has fired women's basketball coach Staci Schulz after five seasons.

Athletics director Rick Mazzuto said Friday that he decided the program needs to move in a different direction.

Schulz had a 36-109 overall record and a 20-46 mark in the Big West Conference during her tenure. She spent three seasons as an assistant before being elevated to the top job.
