Popp sparks Wisconsin-Green Bay romp
Mar 8, 2007 - 5:03 AM GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Amanda Popp scored a career-high 22 points to lead No. 22 Wisconsin-Green Bay to an 81-58 rout of Detroit in the Horizon League Tournament quarterfinals.Rachel Porath tied a career high with 17 points - all in the first half - as the top-seeded Phoenix jumped out to a 26-9 lead in the first 8 1/2 minutes and breezed to victory.
Wisconsin-Green Bay (26-3) advanced to a semifinal matchup with fourth-seeded Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Thursday.
Natalie Berglin added 10 points for the Phoenix, which shot 55 percent (29-of-53) to help offset a season-high 23 turnovers.
Joyce Massey scored 13 points and India Brewster added 12 and 18 rebounds for the Titans (5-26).
