No. 5 Lady Vols rout Ole Miss by 40
Jan 9, 2011 - 7:48 PM Knoxville, TN (Sports Network) - Shekinna Stricklen had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and No. 5 Tennessee cruised to an 86-46 victory over Ole Miss for its sixth straight win.Meighan Simmons also scored 18 for the Lady Vols (15-2, 3-0 SEC), who made half their 70 shots while holding Ole Miss (8-6, 1-1) to 27 percent shooting.
Tennessee has won every game since suffering its second loss of the season to current No. 1 Baylor on December 14.
Ole Miss got 16 points from Valencia McFarland and 11 from Kayla Melson, but was outscored by 20 points in the first and second half and overmatched in every other aspect of the game.
Taber Spani scored 14 points and Glory Johnson added 10 for Tennessee.
