Robinson, Marquette take down No. 6 West Virginia

Jan 12, 2011 - 4:12 AM Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Angel Robinson scored 18 points, pulled down eight rebounds and dished out six assists, as the Marquette Golden Eagles pulled off their second straight upset with a 69-54 win over previously unbeaten and sixth-ranked West Virginia.

Sarina Simmons added 14 points for the Golden Eagles (14-3, 2-2 Big East), who were coming off Saturday's 75-73 double-overtime victory over then-No. 15 Georgetown.

Tatiyiana McMorris and Paige Fiedorowicz chipped in with 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Marquette, which improved to 9-1 at home this year.

Liz Repella finished with 15 points for the Mountaineers (16-1, 3-1), who shot just 36.4 percent from the field. Madina Ali donated 14 points and five boards.

WVU held a 35-31 edge after 20 minutes of action, but the Golden Eagles started the second half on a 19-6 run. Simmons' jumper with 11 minutes to play gave Marquette a 50-41 lead.
