No. 19 Georgetown upends No. 8 WVU

Jan 26, 2011 - 3:49 AM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Sugar Rodgers poured in 30 points and No. 19 Georgetown upended eighth-ranked West Virginia, 65-60.

Monica McNutt tallied 13 points for Georgetown (16-5, 4-3 Big East), which has won two straight.

Liz Repella had 20 points while Sarah Miles scored 14 for the Mountaineers (19-2, 5-2), who had a three-game win streak snapped. Madina Ali had 12 points in a losing effort.

Trailing 19-10 seven minutes into the game, West Virginia mounted a 9-0 run to knot the game at 19 midway through the first half. Georgetown, however, held a 35-28 lead at intermission.

West Virginia took a 40-39 lead in the second half after Ali's three-point play. The game remained back-and-forth until Georgetown scored the final five points in the last 50 seconds to secure the win.
