Stanford locks up Pac-10 with win over Oregon
Feb 27, 2011 - 1:36 AM Palo Alto, CA (Sports Network) - Jeanette Pohlen scored a game-best 20 points as No. 2 Stanford locked up its 11th straight Pac-10 regular season title with a 99-60 victory over Oregon.Kayla Pedersen had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Chiney Ogwumike notched 10 points and eight boards for the Cardinal (26-2, 17-0 Pac-10), winners of 20 straight. Sarah Boothe and Melanie Murphy poured in 11 and 10 points, respectively, in the win.
Kristi Fallin was the only Oregon player to reach double digit scoring with 10 points. Amanda Johnson had six points and seven rebounds for the Ducks (13-14, 4-12), who have lost eight of their last nine.
The game was a blowout quickly as the Cardinal took a 56-25 lead at the half. They cruised in the second half to seal their 60th consecutive win at home.
