WKU names Clark-Heard women's hoops coach
Mar 22, 2012 - 6:31 PM Bowling Green, KY (Sports Network) - Western Kentucky hired Michelle Clark- Heard as the head women's basketball coach on Thursday.Clark-Heard spent the last five years as an assistant at Louisville. Prior to that, she coached Division II Kentucky State for two years.
During her time at Louisville, Clark-Heard helped the Cardinals make three Sweet 16 appearances and their first Final Four appearance (2009).
Prior to taking the head coaching position at Kentucky State, Clark-Heard spent three seasons at Cincinnati as an assistant coach. She was an assistant for four seasons at Nebraska prior to her stint at Cincinnati.
Clark-Heard was a four-year letterwinner at Western Kentucky (1987-90).
