Diggins-led Irish rout Red Storm
Jan 20, 2013 - 7:29 PM South Bend, IN (Sports Network) - Skylar Diggins scored 18 points to help the second-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat St. John's, 74-50.Diggins added six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Natalie Achonwa posted a double-double, 16 points and 12 boards, to go along with three assists and two blocks for Notre Dame (16-1, 5-0 Big East), which has won 11 games in a row.
Nadirah McKenith was the Red Storm's lone double-digit scorer, finishing with 15 points. Amber Thompson and Aliyyah Handford supplied eight points apiece for St. John's (9-7, 3-1).
