Alabama A&M hires former Lady Vol Randall

May 16, 2013 - 7:52 PM Huntsville, AL (Sports Network) - Director of Athletics, Bryan Hicks, announced on Thursday the hiring of Semeka Randall as the new head women's basketball coach at Alabama A&M University.

Randall graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2000. She was a stand- out player for the powerhouse Lady Vol women's basketball program from 1998-2001 and a vital member of the 1998 NCAA Championship team that went 39-0.After college, she played professionally with three different WNBA teams.

She coached at Michigan State University as an assistant coach and helped it reach the 2004 NCAA Championship game. Her most recent stint was at Ohio University where she was the head coach.
