Ohio State cruises to another home win
Dec 16, 2006 - 8:47 PM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Ohio State easily rebounded from a rare regular-season setback.Brandie Hoskins led four Lady Buckeyes in double figures and eighth-ranked Ohio State won its 19th straight home game with a 98-55 rout of Alabama A&M.
Ohio State (8-1) was coming off a 75-51 loss at Louisiana State on Sunday, which snapped its regular-season winning streak at 23 games. Hoskins scored 18 points as the Lady Buckeyes started a new streak and maintained their success at Value City Arena.
Jessica Davenport scored 16 points, Marscilla Packer had 14 and Star Allen added 12 for Ohio State, which led, 47-26, at the break and by as many as 47 in the second half.
Felicia Drummond scored 16 points for Alabama A&M (4-4), which committed 23 turnovers, was outrebounded, 42-24, and allowed 56 points in the paint.
