Baylor cruises past Kansas
Jan 6, 2014 - 12:05 AM Waco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Odyssey Sims poured in a game-high 30 points on 11-of-22 shooting to lead ninth-ranked Baylor to a 75-55 win over the Kansas Jayhawks.Nina Davis added 19 points and seven rebounds and Sune Agbuke chipped in with seven points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the Lady Bears (11-1, 2-0 Big 12), winners in five straight.
Baylor will visit West Virginia on Jan. 8.
Charlicia Harper scored 15 points and Asia Boyd added 12 off the bench for the Jayhawks (7-7, 0-2), who have dropped two straight. Kansas will visit TCU on Jan. 8.
Baylor led 12-10 with 14:10 left and pushed its lead to 12 points after a 15-5 run. The Lady Bears' lead was whittled to five points, 29-24, after Boyd's 3- pointer at the 1:11 mark and Baylor took a 32-24 lead into the break.
The Lady Bears opened the second half on an 11-5 swing and their spread never dipped below nine points the rest of the way.
