Jan 22, 2014 - 5:09 AM Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Shoni Schimmel had 25 points and eight rebounds as No. 5 Louisville routed Houston, 93-52, on Tuesday night.Asia Taylor netted 16 points, Bria Smith tallied 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds and Emmonnie Henderson added 14 points off the bench for the Cardinals (19-1, 7-0 AAC), who have won 12 straight games.
The Cardinals outscored Houston 55-23 in the second half after leading 38-29 at the break.
Yasmeen Thompson had 10 points and eight rebounds for Houston (4-14, 0-7), which has dropped seven straight and 10 of its last 11. The Cougars, who committed 25 turnovers, shot just 30.6 percent (19-of-62) from the field.
