No. 8 Oklahoma State rallies to defeat Kansas

Jan 23, 2014 - 3:33 AM Lawrence, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Tiffany Bias netted 14 points as the No. 8 Oklahoma State Cowgirls defeated the Kansas Jayhawks, 64-56, at Phog Allen Fieldhouse.

Liz Donohoe supplied 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Brittney Martin had 10 points and nine boards. Brittany Atkins added 11 points as Oklahoma State (17-1, 6-1 Big 12) extended their winning streak to five games against conference foes for the first time since 1997-98.

Chelsea Gardner had a game-high 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Jayhawks (9-10, 2-5). Charlica Harper contributed 13 points and seven boards as Kansas has dropped two of their last three.

The Cowgirls entered the second half down 34-28. Roshunda Johnson hit a 3- pointer and Bias went in on a layup to give Oklahoma State a 46-45 lead with 9:56 remaining.

A pair of free throws from Gardner brought the Jayhawks within two with 3:34 left, but Donohoe sank a jumper and Johnson made two foul shots to make it 60-53 as the Cowgirls held on to their lead down the stretch.
