Ogwumike, Stanford rout USC
Jan 28, 2014 - 4:16 AM Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chiney Ogwumike had 30 points and 12 rebounds as No. 4 Stanford routed USC, 86-59, on Monday.Amber Orrange and Lili Thompson added 12 points apiece, while Mikaela Ruef tallied 11 points and 10 boards for the Cardinal (19-1, 8-0), who have won 18 straight games since their lone loss of the season at UConn at Nov. 11.
Ariya Crook netted 18 points to lead USC (14-7, 7-2), which had its four-game winning streak snapped.
Stanford shot 50.8 percent (32-of-63) from the floor and limited the Trojans to just a 37.5 percent (21-of-56) clip from the field. USC was just 2-of-15 from beyond the arc.
Alex Green's 3-pointer capped a 16-2 Cardinal run to stake them a 37-20 lead. Stanford led 46-28 at the break and cruised to the easy triumph over the final 20 minutes.
