Top-ranked UConn dominates Houston
Feb 23, 2014 - 12:33 AM Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Stefanie Dolson scored 24 points and pulled down nine rebounds as top-ranked Connecticut cruised to a 92-41 victory over Houston.Bria Hartley added 24 points with five rebounds, while Breanna Stewart scored 16 points with seven rebounds and five assists for the Huskies (28-0, 15-0 AAC), who gave coach Geno Auriemma a win in his 1,000th game at the school.
Auriemma has a record of 867-133 with Connecticut.
Te'onna Campbell scored 15 points and Jessieka Palmer gave 12 for the Cougars (5-22, 1-15), who have lost four straight and 18 of 20.
UConn led the game from start to finish as the team scored the first seven points en route to a 40-16 lead at the break. The Huskies were never threatened in the second half.
