Indiana women's hoops coach resigns
Jul 25, 2014 - 5:26 PM Bloomington, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Indiana head women's basketball coach Curt Miller stepped down on Friday.Miller, who in two seasons resurrected the program, cited health and family reasons for his decision to resign.
"Curt Miller did an incredible job coaching this team, bringing us farther, faster than anyone could have reasonably expected," athletic director Fred Glass said in a statement. "He leaves the program in a very strong position and poised for much greater success. I respect his decision to resign, and I wish him well. The search for a permanent successor has already begun."
Miller departs Indiana with a 32-32 overall record. He guided the program to 21 wins and a berth in the WNIT quarterfinals last season.
The Hoosiers were coming off a 6-24 campaign when Miller was hired in 2012.
Glass appointed associate head coach Curtis Loyd interim head coach until the school finds a replacement.
