North Texas women upset No. 17 Oklahoma 61-57

Nov 17, 2015 - 3:49 AM NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Terra Ellison scored 15 points, and Kelsey Criner had 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to help North Texas upset No. 17 Oklahoma 61-57 on Monday night.

Criner broke a 57-all tie on a layup with 30 seconds left, and Teadra Jones and Criner each made 1 of 2 free throws on North Texas' next two possessions. Oklahoma's Peyton Little missed a 3-pointer in the closing seconds.

Acheil Tac added 12 points for North Texas (1-1), and Teadra Jones had 11. The Mean Green were 1-12 on the road last season - with the lone win coming on Dec. 14 - and lost to Oklahoma 68-39 at home last year.

Peyton Little led Oklahoma (1-1) with 17 points. Kaylon Williams had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Vionise Pierre-Louis 10. The Sooners had won 16 of their last 17 home games, with their lone loss coming in last season's home finale against Kansas.
