DeHaan leads Michigan State over IUPUI
Nov 10, 2007 - 3:07 AM EAST LANSING, Michigan (Ticker) -- Allyssa DeHaan scored 18 points to pace No. 18 Michigan State as it posted a 65-35 season-opening victory over IUPUI on Friday.DeHaan shot 7-of-15 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds, while Kalisha Keane added 12 for Michigan State, which held the Jaguars to just 23 percent (14-for-59) from the floor.
Julia Whitted scored 10 points and was the only starter in double figures for IUPUI, which shot just 3-of-19 from the arc.
Taja Wilson scored eight points off the bench for the Spartans, who shot 13-of-14 from the free throw line, compared to just 4-of-6 for the Jaguars.
