Freshman Moore leads Connecticut rout of Holy Cross
Nov 15, 2007 - 3:51 AM STORRS, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Freshman Maya Moore scored 31 points in 19 minutes off the bench as No. 2 Connecticut routed Holy Cross, 91-36, on Wednesday.Moore scored 22 points on 11-of-12 shooting in the first half as the Huskies held a 47-20 advantage at the break. Connecticut went on a 16-2 run at the start of the second half to further put the game out of reach.
Tina Charles added 13 points and Renee Montgomery had 11 points and eight assists for the Huskies (2-0), who outrebounded the Crusaders, 45-18.
Laura Aloisi scored 10 points to lead Holy Cross (0-2), which shot just 25 percent (13-of-52).
