Maryland hits 12 3-pointers to top Notre Dame
Nov 17, 2007 - 3:20 AM COLLEGE PARK, Maryland (Ticker) -- Kristi Toliver had 25 points and seven assists as third-ranked Maryland posted a 75-59 victory over No. 25 Notre Dame on Friday.Laura Harper contributed 17 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks and Marissa Coleman added 12 points and eight boards for the Terrapins, who shot 47 percent (27-of-57) from the field.
Maryland (4-0) connected on 12 3-pointers, tying the school record set against UNC-Greensboro on December 21, 2006. Toliver and Coleman combined to sink nine from the arc.
Charel Allen scored 16 points and Devereaux Peters collected 12 and six boards for the Fighting Irish (2-1), who shot 36 percent (27-of-75) and forced 15 turnovers.
