No. 15 Stanford women defeat Cornell 93-38

(AP) Erica McCall and Alanna Smith scored 12 points each and No. 15 Stanford overwhelmed Cornell 93-38 on Saturday.Karlie Samuelson and Lili Thompson added 11 points each and Kaylee Johnson had 10 points and 11 rebounds for her first double-double. The Cardinal put five players in double figures for the first time since last February against Oregon State.
Stanford (8-2) dominated from the start, leading 27-6 after the first quarter when it made its first five shots and 11 of 21 in the period when it had an 18-0 run.
The Cardinal outscored the Big Red 22-2 over the first eight minutes of the second quarter which ended with Stanford ahead 53-13.
The Cardinal shot 52 percent in the first half while Cornell (5-5) made just 5 of 39 shots.
Stanford finished at 49.2 percent and Cornell 22.6 with the Cardinal winning the boards 54-28 and recording their highest point total this season.
