Defense keys North Carolina State's rout of Brown
Nov 18, 2007 - 10:01 PM BURLINGTON, Vermont (Ticker) -- Khadijah Whittington had 10 points and 10 rebounds as No. 24 North Carolina State blew past Brown, 65-31, on Sunday.The Wolfpack used an 18-0 run to take a 23-5 lead midway through the first half as Brown made just 3-of-18 shots in the opening 20 minutes.
Gloria Brown added 10 points for North Carolina State, which was coming off its first loss of the season to St. John's on Saturday.
Shae Fitzpatrick had seven points and five rebounds to lead Brown, which shot 22 percent (10-of-45) for the game and committed 29 turnovers.
