DeHaan, Michigan State survive scare from Kansas State
Nov 23, 2007 - 6:20 AM CANCUN, Mexico (Ticker) -- Allyssa DeHaan scored 23 points as No. 18 Michigan State held on for a 68-65 triumph over Kansas State on Thursday in the Cancun Challenge.Kalisha Keane contributed 19 points and eight rebounds for the Spartans (4-1), who shot 48 percent (21-of-58) from the field and scored 28 points in the paint.
A 6-9 sophomore, DeHaan also registered seven boards and five blocks in 33 minutes. She connected on 8-of-11 shots and made 7-of-8 free throws.
Kari Kincaid poured in 18 points off the bench and Kimberly Dietz added 16 for Kansas State (2-3), which shot just 36 percent (21-of-58).
