Paris sisters help Oklahoma down Mississippi State
Nov 23, 2007 - 10:01 PM CANCUN, Mexico (Ticker) -- Ashley Paris scored 24 points and her sister Courtney added 16 as 11th-ranked Oklahoma posted an 88-73 victory over Mississippi State in the second round of the Caribbean Classic on Friday.Ashley Paris shot 10-of-12 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds and Nyeshia Stevenson chipped in 17 for the Sooners (2-2), who shot 58 percent (33-of-56) en route to their second straight win.
Mississippi State pulled within 78-68 with 4:40 left, but Ashley Paris scored eight of the final 10 points of the game to help Oklahoma hold on for the win.
Imesia Jackson scored 18 points for the Bulldogs (4-2), who shot just 38 percent from the floor (26-of-68).
