Tchangoue leads Wake forest past Texas A&M
Nov 24, 2007 - 12:35 AM ST THOMAS, Virgin Islands (Ticker) -- Alex Tchangoue scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds as Wake Forest posted a 53-46 upset victory over No. 10 Texas A&M at the Paradise Jam on Friday.Tiffany Roulhac scored 12 points and handed out four assists and Corinne Groves and Mekia Valentine each scored eight for the Demon Deacons (4-1), who won despite committing 23 turnovers.
Tchangoue, who shot 4-of-6 from the field and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line, made four foul shots in the final nine seconds to help Wake Forest clinch the win.
Takia Starks scored 15 points and Danielle Gant scored nine for the Aggies (3-1), who shot just 30 percent (18-of-58) from the field.
