Notre Dame easily handles overmatched Canisius
Nov 28, 2007 - 3:04 AM SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- Ashley Barlow scored 18 points and Charel Allen added 17 as No. 23 Notre Dame posted a 93-47 victory over Canisius on Tuesday.Lindsay Schrader and Brittany Mallory added 10 points apiece for the Fighting Irish, who shot 51 percent (37-of-72) from the floor and scored 37 points off 29 turnovers.
The Irish (5-1) used a 25-4 first-half run, and forced 18 turnovers to take a 49-22 lead into the break.
Amanda Cavo scored 10 points for Canisius (3-2), who were outscored 50-12 in the paint and shot just 34 percent (15-of-44) from the floor.
