Oklahoma routs North Texas behind C. Paris

Nov 28, 2007 - 5:32 AM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris scored 19 points and had 22 rebounds to lead No. 9 Oklahoma to a 79-42 victory over North Texas on Tuesday.

Paris was 8-of-14 from the field and had 10 offensive rebounds for Oklahoma (3-2), which opened with a 14-0 run in the game's first four minutes that North Texas (5-3) could not overcome.

The junior also had five rejections, breaking the school's all-time blocks record with 246. LaNae Jones compiled 243 from 1993-96.

Jenna Plumley scored 15 points and Amanda Thompson added 11 for the Sooners, who led 38-20 at the half and outrebounded the Lady Eagles, 61-32.

Jo Hall scored 13 points and Amber Jackson had 11 for North Texas (5-3), which committed 24 turnovers that led to 31 points for Oklahoma.
