Mariya Moore had 16 of her 18 points in the first half and added seven rebounds and five assists for the Cardinals (21-6, 12-1 ACC), who led 37-33 at the half. Asia Durr added 15 points off the bench, Briahanna Jackson had 11 points and Cortnee Walton had 10 rebounds as Louisville had a 41-27 advantage on the boards.
Louisville held Virginia scoreless for more than four minutes late in the third quarter and took a 52-45 lead at the end of the period. The Cavaliers were within six midway through the fourth quarter but they didn't score in the last 3:33 at Louisville pulled away.
Faith Randolph had 17 points for Virginia (14-13, 4-9).
