Starks, Texas A&M use defense to rout Michigan
Nov 30, 2007 - 4:19 AM COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Takia Starks scored 23 points and Danielle Gant added 12 as 12th-ranked Texas A&M cruised to a 69-41 victory over Michigan on Thursday.The Aggies shot 48 percent (16-of-33) from the floor in the first half en route to a 35-22 lead at the break.
Texas A&M (5-1) was opportunistic as it scored 38 points off 33 Michigan turnovers to remain unbeaten in five home games.
Ta'Shia Walker and LeQuisha Whitfield scored nine points apiece for the Wolverines (4-2), who shot just 30 percent (12-of-39) from the floor.
