Fowles, LSU crush Houston
Nov 30, 2007 - 4:14 AM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Sylvia Fowles scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures as No. 7 Louisiana State coasted to a 77-46 victory over Houston on Thursday night.Fowles and the Lady Tigers (5-2) wasted little time building a commanding lead through the opening 20 minutes, shooting 59 percent (16-of-27) from the floor en route to a 41-19 bulge.
Quianna Chaney and Ashley Thomas poured in 11 points apiece and RaShonta LeBlanc added 10 for LSU, which forced 25 turnovers and held a 34-20 edge in points in the paint.
Brittney Scott led the charge with 11 points for Houston (2-6), which shot just 33 percent (18-of-54) and gave up an eye-opening 29 points on turnovers.
