Washington women beat Colorado 67-51 in Pac-12 tourney
Mar 4, 2016 - 6:33 AM SEATTLE (AP) Kelsey Plum scored 27 on 10-of-18 shooting, including three 3-pointers, and Talia Walton added 16 points Thursday night to help the fifth-seeded Washington women beat No. 12 seed Colorado 67-51 in the first round of the Pacific-12 Conference tournament.The Huskies will face fourth-seeded and 11th-ranked Stanford (24-6) in the quarterfinals Friday.
Alexus Atchley scored 10 and Chantel Osahor grabbed 18 rebounds for Washington (21-9), which has won three in a row.
Plum scored six points during a 12-3 run to open the game and the Huskies never trailed, going into halftime up 40-23 and pushing its lead as high as 22 in the second half.
Washington shot 47 percent from the field, while limiting Colorado (7-23) 31 percent shooting (20-of-65).
The Buffaloes made two of its season-low four free-throw attempts.
Kennedy Leonard hit a career-high six 3s and finished with 21 points for Colorado. Haley Smith grabbed a season-best 11 rebounds.
