Allen, Notre Dame crush Michigan
Dec 2, 2007 - 10:28 PM SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- Charel Allen had 19 points and seven rebounds and Tulyah Gaines scored 15 as 23rd-ranked Notre Dame coasted to a 77-46 triumph over Michigan on Sunday.Lindsay Schrader poured in 11 points and Devereaux Peters added 10 for the Fighting Irish, who jumped out to a 33-18 advantage through the first 20 minutes and never looked back.
Notre Dame (6-1) shot a blistering 53 percent (33-of-62) from the floor and collected 22 points off 22 turnovers.
Janelle Cooper's 11 points and eight boards led the charge for Michigan (4-3), which was outscored, 40-12, in the paint and shot just 25 percent (6-of-24) after the break.
