Bulger scores 15 as No. 16 West Virginia rolls
Dec 2, 2007 - 11:00 PM BOCA RATON, Florida (Ticker) -- Meg Bulger led five players in double figures with 15 points on Sunday as No. 16 West Virginia defeated Columbia, 74-41, at the FAU Holiday Classic.LaQuita Owens and Chakhia Cole had 13 points apiece and Olayinka Sanni added 11 and eight rebounds for the Mountaineers (7-1).
The Lions (2-6) shot just 17.9 percent (10-for-56) from the field for the game, including 4-for-26 from 3-point range.
West Virginia scored the game's first 11 points and went into the break leading, 32-21, behind 10 points from Bulger. The Mountaineers put the game out of reach with a 10-3 run to open the second half.
Brittney Carfora led Columbia with 11 points and Meghan Harker added eight rebounds.
