Wiggins leads Stanford rout of UC Davis
Dec 3, 2007 - 2:45 AM PALO ALTO, California (Ticker) -- Candice Wiggins scored 19 points to lead No. 5 Stanford to its fifth straight victory on Sunday, 62-41, over UC Davis.Jayne Appel scored 17 points and added eight rebounds for the Cardinal (7-1).
Paige Minton scored 14 points to lead the Aggies (5-1), who are in their first official season as a Division I team. Stanford is the first top-10 team to face UC Davis.
The Cardinal led at halftime, 32-15, and extended their advantage to 62-29 before emptying the bench with 5:36 to play. The Aggies scored the final 12 points of the game.
Stanford outrebounded UC Davis, 38-25.
