Charles leads Connecticut to rout of Virginia
Dec 6, 2007 - 3:11 AM STORRS, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Tina Charles scored 18 points to lead No. 2 Connecticut to a 75-45 victory over Virginia on Wednesday.Brittany Hunter scored 14 points and Maya Moore added 12 for the Huskies (7-0), who led 44-22 at the half.
The Huskies dominated the Cavaliers from start to finish, holding a 46-20 edge in points in the paint and scoring 26 points off of 24 turnovers. UConn saw all 14 players who got in the game score.
Aisha Mohammed had 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Monica Wright scored 10 for Virginia (6-4), which shot 30 percent (18-of-60) from the field.
