Barlow carries Notre Dame past Purdue
Dec 9, 2007 - 12:06 AM WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Ashley Barlow scored 22 points to help No. 20 Notre Dame rally for a 61-48 victory over in-state rival Purdue on Saturday.Charel Allen collected 10 points and eight rebounds and Lindsay Schrader pulled down 10 boards for the Fighting Irish, who shot just 34 percent (9-of-36) from the field to trail 25-20 at the break.
However, Notre Dame (8-1) woke up in the second half behind its blistering 51 percent (15-of-29) shooting to hold a 41-23 edge for the win.
Danielle Campbell poured in 13 points and Kalika France 11 for the Boilermakers (3-5), who shot 25 percent (8-of-31) after halftime and committed 22 turnovers.
