Louisiana Tech hires Brooke Stoehr to replace Summitt
Apr 18, 2016 - 10:46 PM RUSTON, La. (AP) Louisiana Tech has hired Brooke Stoehr to be its next women's basketball coach.The school announced Stoehr's hiring on Monday. Stoehr will be introduced during a news conference on campus Tuesday.
Stoehr replaces Tyler Summitt, who resigned on April 7 after acknowledging he had an inappropriate relationship. The 25-year-old Summitt is the son of Hall of Fame coach Pat Summitt. He had a 30-31 record over two seasons at Louisiana Tech before his surprising resignation.
Stoehr has been the co-head coach at Northwestern State (La.) for the past four seasons along with her husband Scott. She played for Louisiana Tech from 1998 to 2002 and was also previously an assistant coach at the school.
