Parker's season-high 34 sends Tennessee to victory
Dec 14, 2007 - 4:18 AM KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Candace Parker scored a season-high 34 points to power top-ranked Tennessee past Middle Tennessee, 84-61, on Thursday night.Alex Fuller added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Volunteers (8-0), who overcame a slow start to lead by as many as 24 points in the second half.
Tennessee, which was playing for the first time in more than a week, trailed by as many as eight points early before Parker scored five to spark a 12-0 run to give the Lady Volunteers a lead they would not relinquish.
Amber Holt had 28 points and five assists for the Blue Raiders (3-5).
