Guard Taja Cole transferring from Louisville to Georgia
May 17, 2016 - 1:54 PM ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Taja Cole, a guard who started six games as a freshman at Louisville last season following a celebrated high school career, is transferring to Georgia.Cole will sit out the 2016-17 season before having three seasons of eligibility at Georgia.
Cole was a McDonald's All-American at Lloyd C. Bird High School in Richmond, Virginia. She averaged 19 points and 5.3 assists and was selected the Gatorade Virginia player of the year.
The 5-foot-7 Cole played in 36 games for a Louisville team that finished 26-8 and 15-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
