Pringle leads North Carolina over Coastal Carolina
Dec 18, 2007 - 5:15 AM CONWAY, South Carolina (Ticker) -- LaToya Pringle had a season-high 20 points and 12 rebounds as No. 3 North Carolina posted an 82-58 victory over Coastal Carolina on Monday.Rashanda McCants added 18 points for the Tar Heels (11-1), who forced 32 turnovers from the Chanticleers.
North Carolina shot just 3-of-15 from the arc but held a 31-13 advantage in made free throws to help expand its 10-point halftime lead into its ninth 20-point victory of the season.
Lacey Lyons had 14 points to lead Coastal Carolina (7-3), which has lost three straight and shot just 39 percent (19-of-49) from the floor.
